SORRY FOR TYPOS (AS ALWAYS) I HAD TO RUSH

Championship Saturday has produced some major upsets in year’s past. It’s
jumbled some school’s bowl whereabouts the same way a family member with
fat kids unexpectedly tells you he or she will be spending the holidays
with you. It won’t happen this year – the part about the bowls I mean. I
just don’t see what should be an epic day of college football tomorrow
turning the sport updside down with shocking results.

$$$Auburn$$$ over Tennessee by 30 – The Vols offense has been inconsistent
all season. The frosh QBs had some good games and bad ones before their
injuries. The 5th-year senior hasn’t done much at all. So, in the wake of
all of this, you’d expect Tennessee to be able to fall back on its
defense. After all, after a long season, a team’s defense should be its
backbone. But that hasn’t been the case as evidenced by the struggles of
the last two weeks against Vandy and K-Tuck. I take those performances as
a bad sign heading into this game. Why? Because Auburn has had time off.
Tennessee has not. Because Auburn is now totally forewarned about what a
loss means to their season. What’s a loss for Tennessee mean? Not much. I
am not saying the Vols players will roll over. But what happens if Auburn
is up by 14 in the third quarter and Tennessee has to rely on throwing to
stay in the game? Nothing good is my opinion. For some reason, bettors
have as much confidence in Auburn’s offense as they did in Ohio State’s
circa 2002. The Auburn offense is very good. Don’t be fooled. The Vols
couldn’t make a stop on their home field against this offense, and that’s
before a full season of wear and tear took its toll. This game won’t be
close.

$$$Oklahoma$$$ over Colorado by 40 – Ditto. Talk about a team not taking
anything for granted. The Sooners aren’t going to get a game from
Colorado. If the Buffs had to knock heads in the South, there’s no way
they’d be in this spot. But they’re here and I think even though the team
is different, it’s going to be a revenge game for Stoops after what
happened last year. Now, with Auburn and Okie both vying for No. 2, a good
margin to stick in the voters’ minds will be what both teams are seeking.
Oklahoma’s defense should have no trouble in this game. And the offense
will be balanced and effective as usual.

$$$Miami$$$ over Virginia Tech by 21 – My reason for not liking Tech in
this spot is because I just don’t see its offense doing much. Miami’s
defense has somewhat recovered from bad performances against Louisville,
Carolina and Clemson. But it must be remembered those are bowl teams with
decent QBs. I think the Miami has recovered is by relying on its ground
game to keep the defense off the field. Obviously, Randall’s athleticism
won’t be much of a factor the athletes on Miami’s defense. I have liked
VaTech for much of this season, but I have limited confidence in its
running game. If they can’t establish the run in this game, they’re going
to get blown. Injuries are starting to become a factor for Tech, too.
Miami has had time off while Tech enters off having played four straight
weeks against solid competition. A December game in the OB for a major
bowl bid should call for one of the Canes’ better performances.

USC over $$$UCLA$$$ by 6 – I think UCLA is better than Notre Dame. And I
think ND, had they executed better, would have covered that game last week
against USC. I don’t know how, but I think that means good things for UCLA
this week. The Bruins offense is balanced and has better weapons
all-around when compared to Notre Dame. The Bruins defense stinks, but it
can be crafty in spots. I think UCLA is on an uptick. They played well at
Ariz State, shutout Stanford, lost to Wazzu, then won at Oregon. Those
results might look marginal to most, but they’ve started to look better to
me recently. Now, with two weeks off and playing not to get blown out
again by their rivals, I think this can be a game. USC’s defense is not
the brick wall many think it is. Carroll schemes well, especially after
halftime, but quite a few teams have moved the ball effectively, just not
always scored. This game could be hairy.

Rising Sun – I am playing all games for two units mainly because even at
puttting eight units out is less than what I bet in a normal weekend. I
like all the games, maybe not for two units in a normal week, but with the
limited slate, I am going 2 units on each.

On another topic, many have noticed that A Cubed has posted Bennie’s

should be evryone’s goal for sportsbetting, to hit between 53-55% over the
long haul as it will ensure longrunning profits. I’ve stated many times
that my goal is to hit 55%, nothing more, nothing less. YOu read how some
say they hit 60+% but look closer and that is a result of a small number
of plays. The reality is that the more games played, even the best
handicappers in the world will gravitate towards the 55% mark. Also, if
you are with a service who does not keep a running record, ask yourself
why. Scamdiservices are smart in that they know that NOT keeping a reocrd
will give the impression of a far superior performance as they know the
average Joe will forget the 7 day losing streak once they have a good 2 or
3 days. I get the concensus reports also and the overwhelming number of
‘big name’ services who are preceived as the elite in the industry are
just hitting around 45%, hence LOSING MONEY bigtime! They use the #6 rule
of marketing and that is to hype and market and offer a tremendous sign up
deal to new clients DURING a winning streak and it works. People sign up
in droves totally neglecting the 5-23 record they just put up prior to the
10-3 run they are on. In a given year, a service can lose 40 out of 52
weeks, yet they sign up a gazillion new clients during the 12 weeks they
win and they more than make up their profits for the year. Wake up and
smell the vagina people!

Contrarian players trying to figure out when to play UNDER in Phoenix
games are getting killed this year. They keep asking when enough is
enough, as the total keeps climbing all year long.

IMO, they can’t make the total high enough for this game.

Phoenix again will likely be without PG Nash tonight, but does it really
matter? Last couple of games, they collected 118 & 124 w/o Nash, with
last night’s game against a team that’s eerily similar to defensive
playing style to tonight’s opponent, the Cs.

Bos doesn’t play much defense, especially on road, allowing 104 ppg. That
stat was BA (before Antoine). With the return of Walker, expect that
number to increase another 2-3 points as the season progresses. ‘Toine
plays matador defense, and jacks up horrendous looking 3s that JJohnson,
Barbosa, & Matrix will turn into a layup drill tonight. Credit will be
given where credit is deserved, and Walker does have a decent inside game
and should score at will against a porous Suns defense tonight that should
be somewhat tired after the marathon last night.

With Walker playing, Pierce will have lots more room to score at will
tonight. Davis will also have more room to operate. Celtics guns should
come alive again, and the view here is that the OVER should be consider in
every Boston game from here on out (similar to Dallas).

CHC: I know they have lost 5 straight, but all streaks must come to an end
and now that they are at Wrigley with Prior against a Phillies team which
has won 2 of their last 7 and missing Thome and Loften. I really like the

and Ramirez, Lee and Burnitz all have nice numbers off him. I know some of

I wanted to play Vancouver, Edmonton over 6 1/2 in NHL for $200.

Instead I parlayed the over with UCLA pk 2nd half -120 for $100 to pay 270.

I also parlayed the over with Cal pk 2nd half -105 for 100 to pay 290.

The most I can lose is 200 if the over loses, which I would have lost if I had just played the over.  BUt if the over hits, I have to hit one side of the UCLA /Cal 2nd half for at least  a payout of 270.

My question is, why would anyone ever play a game straight up when you could pick any other game at random and parlay it with both sides for a bigger payout and same risk?

Help, I  must be half out of it.

Here’s how I think Doba can keep their psyche up. He needs to say,”Look fellas, we’re gonna go to SC this weekend, play our asses off and see what happens. But what we need to focus on is our last three games after that. First, we have Arizona St. at home, who has been proven a fraud the last several weeks. The next week, we get Oregon, also at home, who just lost their all-everything QB for the rest of the season. Then we go to Washington who, though we are 1-7 the last 8 years against, SUCK. That’ll give us 6 wins and we can get to a bowl game, finish on a 4 game win streak (assuming a win in a minor bowl game) and build for next season, with a lot of guys returning.” How’s that?

Oh yeah, and don’t forget, they’ll get starting MLB Derting back for the Az St. game which will help TREMENDOUSLY!!
