i think you misunderstood my post !!!! the line has not meant diddly .. on
sunday only two plays of 14 did the line affect bettors !!! and some can
make a case on those 2 philly could be a winner and the Bucco’s could be a

I just want to say thankyou to everyone yesterday. As Rising Sun says
Git’er Done, I think we all did. From Buff to Balt to SanFran all the way
back to Carolina and the Steel City and we could throw in a couple of
totals. Yesterday was one of the best gambling days in my 2 year carrer

I started this message because I thought that Riley was on the South and
Johnson was on the North. Then I pulled my head out of my ass and saw that
they were both on the North. I’m sure you know that the South is much
harder.

You obviously have a good handle on PGA matchups. My picks for the tourney
were: Tiger (big play), Riley and longshot Rory Sabatini. I also have a
big play on Riley v. Lehman. Unfortunately Lehman is playing out of his
mind right now.

I have always done pretty well with the west coast swing, but I really
struggle when they head back to Florida. Anyways, I will be looking for
your matchups from now on. If you have any matchups for entire
tournaments, I would like to see them.

continue to bet on them and at Mil. should be easy for them as Mil. has
lost 3 in a row and not hitting well at the moment. Dodgers have 5 hitters
over .275 with 10 or more at bats whereas Mil has only 2. Wash., Pitts.,
and SF also have 5 at the moment over the past 7 games. Teams with only 1
over the last 7 days include, Fla., Nym, Phil, Ariz and SD has none.
That’s why I’m doing the under in the Ariz – Colo game – neither team
hitting well at the moment.

I have an idea for a system for use on championship boxing bouts. I
presume that it is unlikely the champ will ever lose his title on free TV.
If they feel the contender has a chance then the fight will go on PPV.

Therefore: Lay the big juice and bet on a champ boxing on free TV.

Does this turn a profit? Is there a way of checking this?

Federer is favored in this match that I think Roddick has a chance to win outright.  But I’m playing Roddick +3.5 games.  I think at least one set will go to a tie breaker and can’t see Federer breaking Roddick more than 2 times in the other set that he would have to win to win this thing outright.

MNF  Dallas Cowboys +3.  This game will be played for 3 Units.  I will probably never ever have a 5 unit preseason game unless I have tomorrows newspaper, so this is as high as it gets.  Dallas looked a little rusty last week, which is to be expected with a new QB.  Parcells has done a very good job in the offseason retooling his defense from the inside out.  Although I am not a huge fan of Drew Bledsoe, he is an adequate passer to play in Parcells offensive scheme, and with one of the best O lines in the league, he will have a successful year.  Seattle has done a very poor job over the offseason.  Their draft was good, but probably wont have any immediate impact players, so it is a mute point.  What they did do was lose one of their best defensive players in Okefor.  Seattle showed their true character last year as they imploded during the second half of the season.  If you think of the teams that have success, you can usually link back to the season before with their last 5 or 6 games, and see a successful trend.  This works in reverse for Seattle.  Now, I do respect Shawn Alexander and Hasselback, but Parcells D is much improved from last year, and I think will give them fits.  Seattle was the beneficiary of a couple of early turnovers last week in New Orleans, which gave the starters and the Hawks a nice cozy win, although they were outgained almost 2 to 1.  Finally, I look for Dallas to control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and for Jones and the Dallas running game to shred Seattles D which was dismantled during the offseason.  Winstrom is the only returner on the D line, and he was hurt most of the year.   It doesnt hurt that the game is being played on MNF.  The line is at Dallas +3  so we get some good value, and I look for the public to be all over Seattle in this one.

Dallas also has the better QB rotation with Bledsoe, Henson and Romo.  The latter two are locked in the battle for backup and both have astonishing numbers in preseason.  Romo is 24 for 28, for 243 yds in last 4 appearances.  He will be playing against Seattles third string and should do well as Dallas goes pretty deep at WR.

Tampa Bay has won this annual pre-season match-up each of the last 3 years, and we look for the Buccaneers to make it a 4-peat this season.

Granted the Bucs lost their home opener 20-17 to Jacksonville last week after beginning the pre-season with a nice road win at Tennessee by the exact identical score. However, Tampa Bay has always bounced back well from their first pre-season loss in the past, going 9-4 ATS in this situation over the last 13 years. They also still have a spirited quarterback battle going on between Griese and Simms, so the offense is not likely to let up in this game until well into the second half.

Even though it is just pre-season, the Dolphins already look like a sinking ship with no help in sight. The Fish are 0-3 and have been unable to do ANYTHING offensively, averaging a pathetic 2.9 yards per rush and 5.6 yard per pass attempt so far. Although they may improve a bit here in this, their home opener, we still do not expect them to generate anything on the ground vs. a Tampa rush defense that is allowing just 89.0 yards per game. This will put added pressure on the mediocre Miami quarterbacks Frerotte, Feeley, etc., and we simply cannot bring ourselves to lay points with this team in this spot.

I havent posted in over 3 weeks since busting out in the The Island. I told you guys I would post from time to time if I saw a game I liked. Tonight is the first time I have seen a game I really like.

Vanderbilt -21 vs New Orleans

Vanderbilt had only played 2 games in 16 days and struggled vs Cincy and Bama A&M. They finally are back in to a “pattern” tonight and look to get right vs New Orleans. The players and coach are very upset with their recent play and will come out determined tonight. New Orleans is not a very good team and cannot rebound the ball. This should be an EASY victory for Vanderbilt.

I like Vanderbilt to win by 30+.
