This is a total I like, but no line was posted until just now:

When I have time, like now, I like to explain my thinking on my plays.
With three businesses, and a one year old this don?t happen much. But
since I have been horrible with my picks when I post here, I thought I
should give a little more in depth analysis. If nothing else maybe it will
break me out of my slump here on Betting Talk……

Sunday was Wrights side/bullpen session. That was his day to throw in
between starts(3rd day)in order to keep his arm strong and loose. That’s
exactly what Oswalt SHOULD be doing today. Throwing 30-60 pitches(I say
30-60 cause some guys prefer log tossing it, some guys like Maddux shag
fly balls during BP and count throws back in as long toss). One thing I do
know besides nothing is pitching. From age 5 to 21 I played baseball
almost everyday. I pitched and caught, and some infield. When I played
high school I became the #1 starter/reliever(playoffs)and full-time
catcher when I wasn’t pitching. I was constantly throwing. I threw hard,
but I learned how to throw a less than three-quarter arm angle release
breaking ball that worked like a miracle. I threw that pitch about once in
every at bat. Also threw that knuckle/curve the old way(my fingers were
not long enough back then) When I played they didn’t care about how many
pitches a kid threw. I remember being sore all the time but you never
opened your mouth cause you loved playing and you wanted to pitch. Someone
brought up the point of Clemens pitching on 3 days rest. He might have
felt like shit but there was no way he was NOT taking that ball. We just
don’t know how Roy will do because he hasn’t done it yet. If Oswalt does
not feel right you know he will try to pitch through it, and he should…a
65% Oswalt is better than a 100% Munro or Hernandez in this situation.
So what do we make of all this? Well, I think Oswalt guts out 5-6 innings
and depending when that dumb ass Gardner pulls him will tell you who will
win this game. If he lets him go more than 65-75 pitches, then the Braves
win, and my Series wager on Houston hits the toilet. But lets say Gardner
pulls his head out of his ass(highly unlikely) then we have a toss up. I
say that because there is no doubt that Jared Wright will go thru what he
experienced in the first game, watching those balls flying out of Turner
field like mortar fire, whew. I see him trying to nibble the corners,
which is going to create more walks, and we all know what happens when you
start walking batters!

Which brings us to the key here????
Umpire Joe Brinkman
I think this guy gives both pitchers the squeeze, big Joe is as fair as
they come, but he does have a knack for the showmanship. He is 14-16 to
the Under, and they should mean absolutely nothing. Strike zone about
average. Have seen a narrow strike zone in this series and I think it
stays that way, even though they might have changed the crew.

MIL Brewers -150 & CHI White Sox -188  (150 to win 233)

- MIL is going to be the team this year that finally pushes beyond .500 and probably farther. They have very underrated pitching… they have a solid starting rotation and a much improved bullpen, not to mention to close with Turnbow, who is 3 for 3 in saves, not to mention has a VERY tough fastball. Bush will come out for a good debut. The young hitters are getting comfortable and produce finally some offense for the pitchers. Arizona just doesnt have the bats or the pitching to take down the Brew Crew.

- CHW, i dont need to explain much here, they are the best in the league playing the worst in the league… Garland is $ with very good stuff. White Sox win this easily.

Man do they make me sick when they play Boston, Chicago and New York. I love them so much! Why cant they beat these teams? They better get this shit fixed in their heads come playoff time, if they even make it.
