Why is it that no 1pm or 4pm games are ever on Direct TV baseball package? I know many times on Sat or Sun it is because national networks like Fox have the rights to broadcast, but many times this is the case on weekday day games as well.

Hogs had the week off, but was not a good week, got news that Peyton
Hillis(fullback) 6 tds this year is out for season with injury from
florida game. Wide receiver Ousley quit the team after losing starting
job to Freshman star Marcus Monk. Junior starting offensive tackle Zack
tubbs broke an ankle in practice last week( he was our best lineman, in my
opinion)and is out for year. Freshman defensive back Derek Moore is out
for year also with a broken ankle from last weeks practice.
Auburn gave us our first loss of year at Fayetteville last year 10-3,
this time we are playing at Auburn. Texas ran all over us, Florida passed
all over us, looks like Auburn is well balanced and will have there way
with us.
We still have some offensive weapons, but defense won’t stop Auburn.
Early line is 13, get on em now, lay the 13!!!

Got quite a few numbers pointing us to the over here today in the Rose

recommend buying the pt and paying the extra juice to get it down to 3
cause all indications are it should be a close one. I was at the Seattle
game in mid October when they collapsed to these Rams (my first ever NFL
game), Hawks dominated for 53 minutes before the roof caved in, they
remember it well and will use it as motivation today.

San Diego -6 (-120) – The Chargers are rollin, Jets offence appears to be
struggling and this team is not clicking at all right now, battle of two
teams in opposite directions. San Diego has the rush D to stop the Jets
main weapon, Curtis Martin, I think the Chargers win this by at least a

The White Sox have had good starting/releif pitching all year. Their
problem early on was on offense. The White Sox have had the right personel
to score runs, but just haven’t gotten it done, they have relied on the
long ball all year. It seems that all the correct ingredients have come
together. They have scored just over 7 runs a game their last 5 times out.
The Cubs have scored just over 4 runs a game their last 5 times out. They
have a couple of problems to contend with. They have had key injuries to
their starting pitching staff (Prior,Wood) to go along with a bullpen that
is awful. The Cubs coaching staff knows that Maddux must go at least 6-7
innings for the Cubs to have a chance. This could get them in trouble.
Look for Maddux to be in several jams early on at which point the Cubs
pitching staff will have to take a chance that Maddux will get outs in key
situations, or rely on a bullpen that hasn’t gotten the job done so far
this year.

everyone has made some good points including produce who states that many
great potential hockey players never had the chance to strap on skates
because of the limitations.. but when dsgator states it is a ridiculous
debate cause well Jordan is just the greatest and hockey sucks…
(probably never watched an entire game in his life),, well that is just
wrong… You just can’t compare the two cause they are the two top players
of all time in completely different sports… Yes Jordan was bigger, could
jump higher and was more muscular,, he would probably easily win a race
around an obstacle course between the two,,lol… but Gretzky had the most
amazing vision you could ever imagine,, it is said he could see plays
developing 3 passes before it would even happen,, had incredible quick and
soft hands ,, and was lightning fast… It is different attributes that
make them successful in their own sports.. You can’t be big and muscular
like NBA guys and expect to have a lot of success in hockey because of the
nature of the game.. hockey players are built like soccer players and
swimmers because of the anaerobic exercise they perform (going all out for
45 secs to a minute, then a couple minutes rest)..That said,, after
playing all 4 sports most of my life,,, I can say without a doubt hockey
is the most physically demanding ,,you will never see a guy the size of
Shawn Kemp or Oliver Miller, David Wells, or an NFL lineman in the NHL
because of how physically fit you have to be… (One of the biggest NBA
players.. Shaq,,has 14 % body fat and is the best player in the game,, one
of the biggest and best power forwards in the NHL ,, Todd Bertuzzi is 6′4
,240 lbs and 7 % body fat..) this has much to do with the combo of
skating motion and physical punishment that is dished out… in a way it
is kind of like a combo of soccer and football because of the constant
anaerobic motion you are always in with the big hits and physical play…
Well .. in summary,, I think this is a stupid debate… you need different
attributes for different sports so I don’t know how you could say which
one is the better athlete… basketball you need to be bigger with more
bulk and muscle.. hockey you need to be in absolute peak physical
condition (I know of many NHLers who do triathalon training in the
summers) with very low body fat.. Jordan is the greatest basketball
player,, Gretz is the greatest hockey,, you can’t compare the two because
what attributes do you use to compare..???

Anyone else see good value in HOU +150 tonight? I know that Backe is returning from injury, but Padilla hasn’t won against the Astros (0-4 5.13ERA) and Astros have won 12 straight against PHI…any thoughts?

Waited and the line dropped like I thought it would. Think that Aaron Brooks needs to get off to a hot start. SHould be little to no blitzing (which causes all the unders in the first week in NFL X) in this game according to sources. Like the stable of quarterbacks that will be thrown at each other as far as exhibition goes.

Mississippi States defense is always tough at home and this being a nationally televised game they will come to play. Look for State to keep this game close and it will come down to the 4th quarter, where the game will be decided by a field goal

We were fucking robbed…..

The score was 14 – 13 late 3rd quarter. Arkansas QB threw a lateral to the RB, it was atleast 2 1/2 yards backwards, he drops it and the Vanderbilt player was picking it up to go uncontested in to the endzone for a go ahead TD. The dumbass officials called it an incomplete forward pass and blew the whistle so it was not able to be reviewed. So instead of it being 20 -14 Vanderbilt, it was 14 – 13 Arkansas and they scored 2 plays later to go ahead 21 – 13.

Vandy ends up losing 21 – 19, missing a 48 yard FG on the next to last play of the game, coming up about 1 yard short. The reason it was 21- 19 was because Vanderbilt miss the XP on their 2nd TD. Just a total butt fuck all the way around.

The did cover the spread, and with the Georgia game, my posted SEC plays are 2 – 0 today and 7 – 2 in my last 9 posted SEC plays. I hope you all atleast got in on that. Should have had the ML though, it was the right call.

my inclination is UNDER 20. both teams need to establish the run against defenses that are very good against the run. will probably open up in the second half.
my only concern is that Belichick likes to do the unexpected. he could come out and start passing (screens) instead of trying to run to open the deep passes.
