first two MLB playoff games opening lines.

Last week was messed up, and I feel these games are as well. These are
just quick looks going off the top of my head with no research done.

San Francisco/NY Jets Over 43 – Anyone who’s watched the Niners lately
realizes their defensive problems. Hell, ARIZONA put up nearly 30 last
week against them. Now they lost their best defensive player in LB
Peterson too? Jets havent really utilized their WRs yet this year but I
expect them to get Moss and McCareins (however the hell you spell that)
involved. Martin is good for 120 and at least 1 TD here as well. Jets
defense scares no one, and Rattay has been putting up monster numbers
because the 49ers continually have to play from behind. 49er ground game
is virtually non-existent.

Cincinnati (+3) at Cleveland – Cleveland hasnt earned the right to be
favored against anyone. Palmer hasnt been clicking well with stud WR Chad
Johnson yet this year but he can go off at anytime. Last week Pittsburgh
could have put up 50 against this same Browns team, and Burress had a huge
day. Like Burress, Johnson is a big strong target and the browns wont be
able to shut him down. Rudi Johnson should be good for at least 100 and a
TD, as the brown defense is sub par at best.

Seattle at New England (-4) – NE is good. Very good. Hell, they may be
the best EVER. Seattle is coming off an absolutely heart-wrenching defeat
at the hands of the Rams that could still be in the minds of their
players. I am also not sold on Seattle’s ability to play on the road.
This team has won 19 straight and they’ll be looking forward to this
challenge.

Green Bay/Detroit Over 44.5 – C’mon people. Did anyone watch the Packer
defense last week? They cant stop the rush. They cant stop the pass.
Hell, they couldnt even keep ANTOWAIN SMITH (what a sloth) from breaking a
long run even with a 9 man front. They cant tackle. I could go on and
on. The loss of their star cornerback McKenzie is huge, as well as the
loss of Grady Jackson and his backup. Their pro-bowl center Flanagan is
also gone. This team is in ultimate disarray. Detroit, on the other hand
is playing very well. They do give up a helluva lot of yards passing at
home, though. In their two home games this season they’ve given up 313
yards to David Carr and 354 yards to Donovan McNabb, who could have throw
for over 500 if the game wasnt a blowout. Favre will get his yards and
TDs this game as the Lions only good CB (Dre Bly) likely wont play. Roy
Williams should be a go this week and the packers will not be able to stop
him.

Washington (+1) at Chicago – If it were not for two big non-offensive
plays last week by Baltimore Washington would have won. Chicago is
nowhere near the quality team that Baltimore is. Thomas Jones isnt a
power back and he wont be able to wear down this very good rushing defense
like Lewis did last week. Also, Bears QB situation is sad. Look for
Portis to awaken here and for Washington to win by a TD.

Pittsburgh (+3) at Dallas – Same situation as last week; Dallas at home
and favored by 3+ points against a streaking team. They lost last week,
and there’s a damn good chance they’ll lose this week. Pittsburgh is
rallying behind their young new QB and winning games. Last week they
absolutely killed Cleveland and that offensive mindset should carry over
to this week. Oh yeah, and I hate dallas.

I am sitting in a programming class as I wrote all this. Let me be the
first one to tell you that the post-secondary educational system in the
U.S. is a joke.

Today’s DOBA (Dead on Balls Accurate) play of the day is the colts -2. I
don’t see the colts losing 2 in a row and although the chiefs played well
last week, they won’t be able to keep up with the colts offense today. 3

Ok St now -1 over Syracuse, I am on Syracuse they have 5 good players Ok
St only 2. I do not know why the line is moving to Ok St as sracuse was a
2 pt favorite to start, but they are the better team and should win in the
Garden.

Great game to watch last night… I really like to see teams that face
great adversity get a moment to shine, especially on a national stage.
For all those that bet NE, please don’t take this as a dig or that I am
hyping Miami. I just found the game to be enjoyable and I really felt good
for the Dolphin players after the season that they have had.

Someone asked a question regarding the Falcons/Saints line this weekend…
the game opened at Atlanta -3 and flipped to a New Orleans -2.5 line when
a story broke that Mora would rest many of his starters now that they have
clinched. Additionally, they have Vick and Crumpler listed as questionable
currently, Vick with a bad left shoulder and Crumpler with a knee. As of
yesterday, Mora is saying that he is currently not planning on sitting
anyone and that the team has an obligation to try and win every game…
personally, I don’t ever trust New Orleans as a favorite, regardless if
they are still alive for the playoffs at 6-8… this team has no balls and
they could lose at home to anyone at any time. Good game to pass on.
I am looking at tonight’s game and will be back later if I have a play. I
prefer quality over quantity during Bowl Season, so I will be passing
until I have something I really like. With over 56 wagering options

It sure wasn’t pretty at all ,, But Toronto’s stellar D gets the job
done.. The Argos jumped out to a 22-3 lead then hung on for dear life and
won 22-16 getting several key turnovers late on Calgary drives.. Argos win
the turnover battle 5-0 which was the difference in this game.. Lost my 4
game teaser bet earlier in the day when Montreal blew a 33-10 lead late in
the third quarter to lose 39-36 in 2OT,, that was a heartbreaker but it
happens..

I just dont think the sooners have enough fire power to stay with the longhorns today. Bomar will make lots of mistakes against this very tough Texas defense and the Horns will capatalize with short field position all day. Peterson is not a 100% and will not play the whole game.

to answer your question below I see it like this.  UAB has performed very poorly on national TV.  Lots of dumb penalties like late hits, roughing the passer, roughing the kicker, pass interference, offsides etc.  These are all by-products of a lack of discipline and the other half being overly aggressive, possibly due to the TV spotlight.  This is UABs third game on ESPN this year and USM is a pretty good darn football team, giving NCState a hell of a game on the road, probably should have won it straight up.  Everyone knows about DAngelo Williams and his rushing success, and that is part of the reason for the over.  Memphis, who is already terrible defensively against lower tier teams now have both starting corners, a NG and a interior D lineman playing who were knocked out of last weeks game.  Good news that they are returning, but they will definately not be 100%.  I think UAB is in a great situation here to keep their emotions in check and watch the other team implode for once, especially with a kid under center who has only 2 starts and never on ESPN.  Just my opinion.

A good weekend for us, going 15-4-1 in NCAA & NFL combined including last night’s free 2** Winner with UNDER 44 in Green Bay and over 32+ Units of profit. Those that did not purchase the NCAA Game of the Year and/or Parlay of the Year, both of which were guaranteed and won, still made over 22+ Units in profit for the weekend.
