He’s still not in Brett Favre’s league. With the game on the line who
else would you want to have the ball other than Favre? Only guy even
close in the NFL right now is Tom Brady, and even he blew one last week
against Miami. Manning 3rd.

That’s my second loss in as many weeks on betting on the Packers. Last
week I was positive they’d win and they lost. This week I was sure they’d

It seems pretty wierd that Vegas would post Mich St as a one point
favorite against the No. 1 Illini knowing that the public is going to
ignore homecourt and bet the shit out of Illinois anyway. Why not just
make Illinois a 2 to 3 point favorite to get even money. That is their
goal. To get even money on every game.

They make the line anyway knowing they are going to have to seriosly
adjust it due to the game being on espn and the majority of the betting
public loving unbeatable no. 1 teams. I just dont get why the books would
want people to load up on illinois in this spot. It reminds me of that
Ill/Wisky game last tuesday in which Illinois was on the ropes until they
went on a late run. Mich St. is much stronger than Wisconsin(I know Wisky
beat Mich St. due to a 11-0 run at the end), but I might side with the
books in this one.

For the most part in these conference tourneys when you have an underdog
that wins the 1st and/or 2nd day that team will begin to fall apart, it is
hard playing 3 days in a row after all. Happened with LaSalle and Rutgers
yesterday but of course there are exceptions like South Florida and W
Virginia. Obviously hard to pick which ones will fall apart and which
will go on.
Alabama is just in a different class than Ole Miss. Granted a number of
UK fans will probably be pulling for the underdog but Bama has turned it
on lately and should easily cover this.
Missouri is playing well of late but Oklahoma’s D will be too much today.

Buying a half point here to get to 10 in what should be a low scoring game. Troy has scored a grand total of 16 points in the last two games and switched to a true freshman QB last week in a 3 point effort at UL-Monroe. FIU off a very tough 13-10 home loss last week to N.Texas in a game in which they committed 8 TO’s and missed a last minute FG that would have sent the game to OT. I’m putting some blind faith in Don Strock to have some of those mistakes corrected tonight. Not overly crazy about this game but cant pass up this many points against a terrible offensive team.
