Arizona -5 vs. Kansas(I think the young team that Kansas has won’t be ready for the compitition tonight.  Or at least Bill Self hasn’t gotten them ready yet.) 

Iowa/Kentucky over 64 First half: 64 is a low total and Kentucky likes to run and put up points.  Iowa is no slouch either.  I simply see some value in 64 as a first half total on this one.

St. Josephs -4.5 over Fairfield:  I know the line has gone down but I think Phil Martelli coaches well and they should come out on top above the spread on this one.  The lower you can get it the better.  St. Joes plays better than people think typically the last couple years. 

Va Commonwealth -1.5 over App. St. (recommended by others)

Philly off bye week off a blowout gave them time to work on some things hopefully.  Andy Reid is a very good coach and I don’t see them showing the same deficiencies they showed against Dallas.  SD has had a weird year so far.  I love LT and think Brees does a good job but I think the DC for Philly will be able to put together a package that will slow him down.  SD pass defense is still suspect in my opinion and Philly should exploit that.

Denver +3 -121 NYG

Denver has had some quality wins this year and I know teams let down after the Patsies come to town but not this time.  Denver has the running game you need on the road and Plummer will be able to run the little bootleg against this defense.  Manning should do well if Denver doesn’t blitz and they don’t seem to like to but I think in the end Denver wins straight up.  Just think they are a better team than NY and have beaten better teams to prove it.

Pitt +1 +104 Cincy

Rothleisberger is back and I expect he picks up where he left off.  Cincy is a good squad but not on Pitt’s level this year.  I think Cowher is able to get the troops ready after last week.

New Orleans +3 -103 St. Louis

New Orleans moved the ball well last week against a good Atlanta defense but came up short.   They outgained Atlanta 456 -256 on yards but just had a turnover that hurt them.  I like the new running back combo of Stecker and Smith and that kind of screws up the defense as Smith is a bruiser and Stecker more of a scat back type.  St. Louis fell apart last week and I think they have a tough time here.

game if they lost SU in OT as a favorite in there last game and if they
are a favorite in there next game. Play against Ohio St. I found another
one last night which favored LSU. Home favorites off consecutive home wins
and covers and are a home favorite in there 3rd straight home game are
hitting at a 45% clip. That would favor LSU. ANyone have any systems for

Hogs had the week off, but was not a good week, got news that Peyton
Hillis(fullback) 6 tds this year is out for season with injury from
florida game. Wide receiver Ousley quit the team after losing starting
job to Freshman star Marcus Monk. Junior starting offensive tackle Zack
tubbs broke an ankle in practice last week( he was our best lineman, in my
opinion)and is out for year. Freshman defensive back Derek Moore is out
for year also with a broken ankle from last weeks practice.
Auburn gave us our first loss of year at Fayetteville last year 10-3,
this time we are playing at Auburn. Texas ran all over us, Florida passed
all over us, looks like Auburn is well balanced and will have there way
with us.
We still have some offensive weapons, but defense won’t stop Auburn.
Early line is 13, get on em now, lay the 13!!!

Everything there is to know about this game, & a lot of crap you couldnt
care less about having to do with VTECH…Be forewarned…after sifting
through this stuff, your finger will have tendinitis from all the
scrolling you do (If you make it till the end) Reading tru this did do

I’ve been watching this line all day and there has been a lot of $$ going
on Central Michigan even though BG seems to be getting the higher %-age of
bets. Usually, this would scare me off, but BG is off a few disappointing
efforts against good MAC teams and I think CM is just the tonic they need
to get back on track.

Not sure how the hell I’m going to concentrate in class tonight. Usually
only have 1-2 plays going but tonight I have four. Thank goodness for

Moyer is 5-5 with a 3.80 ERA in 16 appearances vs KC, including 14 starts,
at Kauffman Stadium. Moyer is a junk pitcher that is on again off
again…this afternoon I think he’s off again. Line movement favors The
Royals…home dog is alway a great pick…Mike Sweeney has three homers
and five RBIs in his career against Moyer and his stats may be all they
need today.

I also like the under, but just an opinion. Check out the pitching matchup:

Moyer (1-0, 2.45 ERA)
Bautista (1-0, 1.13 ERA)- Excellent prospect who was dominant his first
start.

I’m taking the youngster over the old man.

I may make this an official pick later, but Shaq will be starting against
the Sixers. Sixers are fighting for their playoff lives, but Shaq will
eat them up! Miami is only a 2.5 point favorite, and thay line could move

Speaking of softball, I will be leaving soon to umpire the NSA Midwest
Super B NIT Tournament B softball tournament. It is about the best
regional men’s slowpitch softball there is.

The games are played at a great facility in Mount Propsect called Melas
Park. 300 foot fences, sodded blue grass fields, beautifully manicured
infields…full concession stand–only thing they don’t have is beer.
