Here we go:

Indiana -7 At home, I like the Hoosiers to roll in this one. Statement game for the perennial Big Ten doormat. Coach Terry Hoeppner has Indiana moving in right direction. Return of QB Powers and WR Hardy helps too.

Utah/UCLA OVER 52.5 2 offenses that can move the ball. Plus this will be a close one with overtime possible. Lots of points.

Akron/Penn State OVER 41.5 Penn State has big play potential on offense. Plus a big play defense that will force TO’s and maybe even score a TD. Akron returns a solid offense that will score some points……although they may come after the outcome of this game has been decided. I like PSU to dominate but because it’s the first game Akron will play offensive starters even late in a blowout. Late Akron points and big plays by PSU put this one OVER.

Idaho/Michigan State UNDER 59 Idaho will have trouble moving the ball. Michigan State will look to build confidence in running game and have success doing so. Start of Dennis Erickson era for Idaho – won’t matter. Michigan State wins easily. Estimated score: 31-7.

N.Illinois/Ohio State UNDER 49.5 Ted Ginn and Troy Smith get all the hype at Ohio State but this is a team that will look to RUN first. Pittman and Wells will see lots of carries today. 2 coaches that like to play it conservative and limit mistakes. Marshall +22 Overrated West Virginia team runs into a maturing Marshall team that returns 19 starters in this rivalry game. Marshall will force WVU to throw the football. WVU will struggle in the passing game early in the season.

I’ll take Marshall and the points and I am looking for this game to be close. At +1440, I like the Marshall moneyline play here. No, I’m not crazy…….well, maybe….we’ll see.
