last couple of days and esspecially with yesterday’s “best bet” Bennie
comes right back with a Godfather play?…whats worse is this game never
even had a chance and as I’m sure most of you who watched the game saw
Richmond isn’t that bad of a team to be betting that strongly
against…folks one thing I’ve learned in this business is after a couple
bad days you take it easy and build your losses back up slowly instead of
trying to make up for it with one play…therefore I have to question his
thinking in this scenario and guess that this play was forced to make up
for his dissapointing results lately…in the end folks bet smartly and
realize no game is a lock!

I’m starting an experiment because I can’t stand the sight of Vegas Vic.
He’s a so called professional handicapper who has a column in my local
paper….well, not really a column; more like a “lines and picks” type of
thing.

He also comes on a local TV channel here making picks from time to time.
He’s “live” from Vegas with a couple hot girls on each arm…blah, blah,
blah…he makes me sick.

I don’t dislike him because I’m losing money, but because he’s made a name
for himself by never winning. Anyone can do that!!

Anyway, that’s my rant. I’m starting a daily “Opposite of Vegas Vic”
record.

Vegas was sick. Ended up winning about $3,000 on the trip, but spent

this entire season. And trust me, I am not a bases capper but I love this
one. I am playing Baltimore and NYY OVER 9. Both teams went through their
pitching staffs yesterday and Johnson has been nothing special. Both teams
are above average in batting. They also seem to play high scoring games
against each other. I think this one lands much closer to 15 runs
combined. Maybe more. If I had a MLB GOY, this would be it.

I am not making any bets on Thursday. The four days following, however, I am very horny about. Here are my thoughts for the Thursday games.

Oregon vs. Houston – Don’t like it. I am not in the business of laying points on the road, even though I hear Reliant hardly provides an advantage for a lackluster Cougs fan base. But whatever, I just stay away from spots like this when I hear every Tom, Dick and Jim Feist say they like Oregon’s offense. Big revelation there. Houston isn’t as bad as people think.

Cincy vs. E Mish – I love Dantonio. Cashed a nice bet in the bowl win over Marshall several months ago. This Cincy doesn’t show many returnees, but don’t think they’ll drop off the face of the earth. My vibe is that this team won’t drop way off. If I had to bet on this day, I would lay this wood. I am going to watch one from the Cats for now, but they should piss on this team. There are some pretty good talents on Cincy’s roster. Who knows, I might talk myself into this.

UConn vs. Buffalo – Not interested in using either team as a betting tool right now. I want to see how UConn looks.

Vandy vs. Wake – I don’t like the ACC, and I do like the SEC. So, the wood should be good here. But I am not going to bet Vandy on sheer faith. And that’s what you need to have if you think they’ll ever play a complete game.

South Caro vs. UCF  – I am not getting involved with Spurrier until I see this team play one. I am not about to lay an inflated line just because of the coach, but UCF is pure shit.

Temple vs. ASU – I wonder if Temple will like the desert at this time of year. But I ain’t laying this because ASU is way too overhyped heading into this season. The Devils have some nice players on offense, but their defense sucks. There should be some great great spots to against this ASU team later.

Wazzu vs. Idaho – I’ll admit, I don’t know squat about Idaho. And I don’t bet games when I don’t follow both teams. I do like this Wazzu team this year for a bounceback season.

Minnesota vs. Tulsa – I am never right about Minny. And like I said about Oregon, I do not like laying wood on the road. It’s just a bad habit to get into. Oregon and Minny are bookend games to me. Meaning that every all the squares know these two teams and they’re biggest names on the board today and squares would rather bet teams they are familiar no matter if they’re getting burned on value. Pasadena!

Some one posted this the other day.  I know I’m going to get on it.

Brew Crew have not gome under in 2 consecutive games all year.  They went under last night, so over 8.5 is the play today.

Took a beating last night with Maryland, still almost got the back door. Bascially broke even with a nice teaser and the 2nd half under.

Thought I broke the game down fairly well, but Maryland made some early mistakes and then got shellshocked in Morgantown.

Tonight’s play

Kansas +5.5 They keep adding points to this line and I’m gonna keep taking ‘em. Kansas is a program on the rise, Mangino has done a good job there. They almost got caught last week by a ULM that played a former WR at QB. Kansas’ young secondary gave up some HUGE yardage, alot of which came on plays where the QB broke the pocket and made pays downfield.

2 things will help solve that problem this week. 1 – the return of lockdown CB Aqib Talib. The Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year returns from suspension. 2- Toledo QB Clint Cochran is more of a pocket Qb.

With Talib back Kansas will be able to put him on an island and rotate other defenders away from him in an effort to better defend against the pass, which has hurt them this year.

This will be a close game and may be decided by whose young QB makes the fewest mistakes.

Or it could be decided by whose big-play RB has the biggest game. Toledo’s Parmele and Kansas’ Cornish are both quality backs with big play ability.

Toledo is 36-2 at the Glass Bowl but they aren’t invincible there. They play very few non-conference opponents there, mostly just cupcakesand MAC opponents…..and they did take a 35-17 drubbing there last year from Northern Illinois.

I think this game will be close and may even come down to the final play. So I’m going to take Kansas and any points they give me.

I think both teams will look to protect their young QB’s and look to run the football.

I also like the Under 50 in this game……but the thought of seeing a low scoring 20-20 game go to a college OT and turn into a 37-34 game does scare me a bit.

Does anybody know of a website that will accept a round robin wager as described below?

Most sites have round robins that group every combination of 2 teams. Example – If I put 8 teams into my round robin, I will have 28 different combinations of 2-team parlays. I want to be able to pick the number of teams in each parlay. Another example – With the same 8 teams as above, I would like to bet the 8 different combinations of 7 teams or the 28 combinations of 6 teams. NOT the combinations of 2 or 3 teams.
